
JeanMarie St.Clair, Ph.D. (She/ Her)
Dr. JeanMarie St.Clair has over 20 years experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families in mental health, school, and community settings. She has received extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Family Therapy as well as diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of mental health disorders, learning disabilities, developmental differences, ADHD and Autism.. In addition to her clinical experience, JeanMarie has over 20 years experience teaching in higher education and training human service professionals to effectively work with children, adolescents, couples and families.
Throughout the therapeutic process JeanMarie utilizes grounding, trauma-informed approaches, emphasizing internal family systems, strengths-based interaction, and unconditional positive regard. She works with both children and adults, helping with many challenges including anxiety and depression, personality disorders, trauma, PTSD, addictions, self-harm, eating disorders, school stress, grief and loss, disability, and life adjustments as well as a wide variety of other mental health challenges. In addition to her training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Family Therapy, JeanMarie provides opportunities for animal assisted therapy, Eco-therapy and mindfulness-based interventions and uses these models to help clients process and heal from past trauma and build skills to cope and thrive when faced with life’s challenges. Utilizing a strengths-based approach, she provides treatment through both traditional office-based sessions, activity-based approaches and teletherapy. She explores how patterns of behavior, thought processes and relationships impact our experiences.
JeanMarie has extensive experience working with adolescents and their families and specialized training with families experiencing, crisis, trauma and conflict. She works with individuals and families to help them learn effective tools to help them make positive changes in their lives, helping people live more authentic lives through self-discovery and introspection. She customizes each session to meet her client’s unique needs while addressing clients' belief systems, thought processes, and how they connect with others.
